Liquidation Sale--Up to 70% Off!
Dear Rhythm Connect Family & Friends,
The store we opened a little over 5 years ago has been an amazing adventure. It began as a dream when I was 16 years old to own a drum shop that would have a very interactive design and feel, offering unique rhythm-based products and services not found anywhere else. That dream was realized on July 10, 2010 when we opened Rhythm Connect 1.0 at 84 High St. in Fairport. Two and a half years later, the vision expanded to offer additional instruments and lessons so students of all ages and levels could experience the joy of making music in community. This led to Rhythm Connect 2.0 when we moved into our current location at 75 N. Main St. in Fairport.
Well, that vision has been refined once more. The ever-changing retail climate, along with the demands of managing a store/studio for my wife, Karen (who already has a full time job!), and me has caused us to reevaluate our priorities. We decided that letting go of the retail side of the business is key for us moving forward. At the same time, we realized that we wanted to see the excellence of the musical instruction that we offer continue but we no longer had the time or energy to run it. We realized that what we needed was the right partnership to entrust our incredible staff and students to.
Introducing Rhythm Connect 3.0! Over the past few years John Barthelmes, owner of Spotlight Studios, and I have become good friends and musical collaborators with the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association (FPMA). When my ceiling collapsed due to weather in our “Jungle Room” at our High St. location and I needed to quickly find an alternate location for a rhythm event, it was John who immediately offered me free use of his space to run the event. And when our student showcase rehearsals and performances expanded beyond the capacity of our current location, it was John who again offered us the use of his black box theater to host our showcases. These are just two examples of many more ways that Rhythm Connect and Spotlight Studios have been partnering together over the past several years and why we’ve decided to make it an official partnership under one roof!
As of Monday, February 29, 2016, Rhythm Connect will be closing our 75 N. Main St. location and moving into Spotlight Studios at 3 Railroad St. in Fairport (about a block away from our current location). At that time, all of our lessons will fall under the very gifted and capable ownership/management of John and Kaitlyn Barthelmes of Spotlight Studios. All of our teachers (including me) and students will completely transfer over and maintain our current schedules. I will focus on my passion of creating the interactive experiences that make rhythm and music accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Which means that Rhythm Connect will continue offering our unique interactive rhythm events, birthday parties, classes, and school field trips and programs out of the newly renovated Spotlight Studios!
But before this transition can happen and we close the doors on our current location, we need to liquidate all of our retail inventory. We have pulled everything out of overstock and our store is restocked with incredible deals on musical equipment and accessories. Everything must be sold in a few short weeks.
We will be CLOSED all day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, February 1st-3rd for retail (classes and private lessons will continue as scheduled), to reduce prices and prepare for our STORE CLOSING SALE, beginning Thursday at noon, February 4th. When we reopen, every item in stock will be offered at savings of up to 70% off! Over the next few weeks we still have pre-existing orders of merchandise arriving. The best stuff will go first, so shop early and shop often.
We would greatly appreciate you spreading the word through Facebook, Instagram, mom groups, dad groups, Craigslist, blogs, Twitter, Snap Chat, Periscope, your rooftops, and yelling out your car window while driving down busy streets. You name it! Our customers have always been very supportive in helping us spread the word, and we could really use your creative help now with getting the word out about our FINAL INVENTORY LIQUIDATION SALE!
We truly thank you for your continued support, kindness and loyalty that has kept Rhythm Connect going over the past 5+ years–buy local and help us successfully launch Rhythm Connect 3.0!
Live, work, and play in rhythm!
Ed & Karen Keegan
